Pittsburgh shooter to face 11 further charges

The City Of Pittsburgh And Shooting Victims Told Trump To Stay Away. He Didn’t Listen.

President Trump traveled to Pittsburgh Tuesday, to pay tribute to the victims of a weekend massacre that claimed the lives of 11 worshipers at a synagogue.

With President Donald Trump getting a cool welcome from the Jewish community in Pittsburgh, Israel's envoy to the memorial ceremonies for the synagogue shooting victims has come to his defense, saying it was "unfair and wrong" to link him to the tragedy.

Local and religious leaders were divided on whether Trump should visit. They lit candles in the vestibule of the Tree of Life Synagogue steps from the sanctuary where the worshippers were gunned down.

It revealed the political divisions troubling the nation in the aftermath of the Sabbath shooting as shouts of "words matter" and "Trump, go home" could be heard from demonstrators gathered not far from where a gunman had opened fire on Saturday.

Rabbi Jeffrey Myers, who had been conducting services when the shots rang out, led the first couple outside and gestured at white Jewish stars posted for each victim. Emerging about 18 minutes later, the couple walked to a memorial outside the building, where the first lady placed a flower and the president placed a small stone on a marker for each of the dead.

Also joining Trump on his trip were Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, his daughter and son-in-law who are Jewish and serve as White House advisers.

The Trumps later spent more than an hour at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, where some of the victims are recovering.

Hundreds of protesters gathered on the street chanting slogans against the president. Four of the six who were injured are police officers.

The company had also scheduled a simultaneous launch event in New Delhi on October 30 but did not reschedule it for October 29 . Gadgets reports that the display of the OnePlus 6T has an 86% screen-to-body ratio and it gets Gorilla Glass 6.

Trump stepped into the role of national consoler, a title he wears uncomfortably, as he arrived in Squirrel Hill, the neighborhood where he faced an uneasy welcome.

Authorities allege Bowers opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue as three congregations gathered to celebrate Shabbat services Saturday morning, killing 11 people and injuring six others in what's believed to the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in USA history. The death toll includes a set of brothers, a husband and wife, professors, dentists and a physician. "These Jews were targeted specifically because they were helping refugees", he said, calling the visit, as funerals were taking place, "insulting" to the victims and their families.

But while the Justice Department under Trump has increased death penalty prosecutions, the numbers pale in comparison to that of President George W. Bush's attorney general John Ashcroft, who in 2003 alone signed off on more than three dozen capital prosecutions.

"He didn't pull the trigger, but his verbiage and actions don't help", Carberry said. The president said an armed guard might have prevented the attack had one been deployed at the synagogue. Last week, the NY offices of CNN, the cable network frequently criticized by Trump and his supporters, was evacuated after receiving an explosive device and an envelope containing white powder. On Monday, the White House announced plans to send 5,200 active-duty USA troops to the border. "For the President, it was not a moment for politics".

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto, a Democrat, told reporters before the visit was announced the White House ought to consult with the families of the victims about their preferences and asked that the president not come during a funeral.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who is Jewish, also joined the president.

As the president was driven through Pittsburgh, some bystanders made obscene gestures to his motorcade and thumbs-down gestures, reports AP news agency.

Immediately following the attack, Trump called the officers "very brave" and "unsung heroes". Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also opted not to participate.
