U.K.’s May warns Brexit deal rejection would be ‘catastrophic’

‘Irresponsible nonsense’: Tory minister slammed over comments about rise of far-right

In a warning to Conservative rebels ahead of the vote, Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay said that Brexiteers seeking "ideological purity" are in danger of seeing Britain not leave the European Union at all.

According to the Sunday Times, the plan could see the Government lose control of parliamentary business, threatening not only Brexit legislation but the Government's ability to govern.

"The risk of parliament acting in a way that frustrates what was the biggest vote in our history has increased", Barclay told BBC TV, adding that it was going to be "challenging" to get parliament to support May's deal in a vote on Tuesday.

Writing in the Sunday Express, Mrs May said: "You, the British people, voted to leave".

Mr Corbyn was pressed repeatedly on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show to name a date for when he would table a no confidence vote but refused to.

Meanwhile, London mayor Sadiq Khan has written in the Observer suggesting that Mrs May should step down and call a general election if she loses next week's vote.

More than 100 Conservative MPs have already declared their intention to vote against May's deal.

He also appeared to out at Labour over the continued confusion about what stance it would take on Brexit if it secured a snap general election.

Sarri: Chelsea need two signings in January
However, the 21-year-old is having difficulties during his first season at the Nou Camp, playing just five games in LaLiga. Asked about Barcelona's reported interest in Willian , Sarri said: "I didn't receive anything yesterday".

Warning that there may be no consensus in the Commons around any possible outcome, the foreign secretary told Today: "If this deal is rejected, ultimately what we may end up with is not a different type of Brexit but Brexit paralysis". You have delivered your instructions.

'When you turned out to vote in the referendum, you did so because you wanted your voice to be heard, ' she said. Some of you put your trust in the political process for the first time in decades.

He said: "We can clearly state to our European friends that we will let them sell German cars, Irish beef and French wine at no tariff but it has to work both ways".

"So my message to Parliament this weekend is simple: it is time to forget the games and do what is right for our country".

The British parliament will act to stop a no deal Brexit from happening, Vince Cable, the leader of the pro-EU Liberal Democrats, said on Sunday.

Former prime minister Sir John Major has said revoking Article 50 is the "only sensible course" but accepted this would be "politically uncomfortable".

Mrs May was boosted on Thursday by two Tory backbenchers - her former policy adviser George Freeman, and Trudy Harrison - indicating they will back her deal, as well as by a call from Japanese PM Shinzo Abe for the United Kingdom to avoid no-deal.

But he said he does not have the military "actively involved" in no-deal planning beyond the secondment of a "small number" of staff from the Ministry of Defence.
