Team Of Scientists Claim They'll Have Cancer Cure Within 'A Year'

- Scientists in Israel announced this week that a cure for cancer was possible within the year.

Dan Aridor, chairman of Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), told the Jerusalem Post that a possible cure could be ready within a year and would have nearly no side effects. The treatment is called MuTaTo, or multiobjective toxin.

MuTaTo is comparable to an antibiotic and incorporates a multipronged approach using an amalgamation of several peptides for each cancerous cell, making it much harder for these malignant cells to evade treatment.

The doctor went on to explain that other drugs have failed because they don't destroy cancer stem cells, adding: "If it does not completely annihilate the cancer, the remaining cells can start to get mutations again, and then the cancer comes back, but this time it is drug resistant".

As the Jerusalem Post reports, "An estimated 18.1 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide each year, according to reports by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. However, as experience has taught us so many times, the gap from a successful mouse experiment to effective, beneficial application of exciting laboratory concepts to helping cancer patients at the bedside is in fact a long and treacherous journey, filled with unforeseen and unanticipated obstacles".

"We make sure the treatment is not affected by the mutations", he said. "Instead of attacking receptors one at a time, we attack receptors three at a time - not even cancer can mutate three receptors at the same time".

That said, this FaceTime incident is a serious blow to Apple's carefully constructed image of the champion of privacy. This essentially turned any device with Group FaceTime - include iPhones , iPads and Macs - into a listening device.

Morad said MuTaTo is also strong enough to both destroy stem cells and penetrate where other drugs can not reach.

The experts even claimed the drug's side effects will be next to nothing, especially when compared to traditional cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

"We believe we will offer in a year's time a complete cure for cancer", Dan Aridor, chairman of the board for AEBi, told the Post.

The team said the treatment will eventually be personalized, and patients would receive a specific molecule cocktail needed for an effective treatment.

The treatment, which has not been tested in humans yet, has shown success in mice trials and is nearing the stage of clinical trial, Aridor said.
