Discredited liar Sarah Huckabee Sanders defends her constant lying

Sarah Huckabee Sanders

"Not founded on anything" is the new "alternative facts".

While the right-wing messaging machine is trying to make it sound like a personality spat, April Ryan's call for White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to be fired is a righteous and important one bigger than either of the people involved. "Why does she still have a job?"

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said reporter April Ryan hit a "new low" by calling for her to be fired and decapitated.

Sanders made similar claims multiple times on two different days.

In an interview with Mueller's team, Sanders, who has been promoted to press secretary, said the assertion was a "slip of the tongue".

So there it is - "not founded on anything" - a remarkable admission from a government official who is paid to communicate accurately with the public.

But while the coverage of her comments include sharp criticism - including calls for her to resign - it's actually being more generous to Sanders than she deserves.

But she repeated the assertion the following day, using the same word, even when pressed by a reporter for details.

"Not only does she not have credibility, she lied", Ryan said during a segment on CNN Thursday evening.

Crystal Palace were able to pull off a shock on Sunday afternoon after defeating Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium. He opened the scoring and it was his header which sent Zaha through on goal for the second.

Sanders was later asked during the briefing what her response was to the rank-and-file Federal Bureau of Investigation agents who "disagree with your contention that they lost faith in Director Comey".

"Sarah plays a risky game in that room. If you can't trust her talking about that, what can you trust her about?"

A section of the report that references Comey's firing by Trump notes Sanders telling reporters that the White House had heard from "countless" FBI agents who had lost confidence in Comey's ability to lead the bureau.

Sanders stopped holding daily press briefings previous year. It was merely prelude to what's happening in the White House today.

According to the Hill, Sanders told the press that "countless" Federal Bureau of Investigation agents had lost confidence in Comey, but she later told Mueller's team her past remark was unfounded and was a "slip of the tongue" made "in the heat of the moment".

"It just once again proves why this journalist isn't taken seriously", Sanders said, adding she's going to stay focused on the President' agenda, not "petty" fights with reporters.

Sanders responded on "Fox & Friends". And I think that we may have to agree to disagree. A slip of the tongue is something you do by accident, unintentionally.

She often asks tough questions of the administration and is hit back with rants about 'fake news'.
