POCO X8s goes global with a 6.35-inch screen and a 6,330mAh battery
POCO has remembered that some of us would like a phone our thumbs can actually negotiate with. The company announced the X8s for global markets in an October 25 post, pairing a 6.35-inch display with a 6,330mAh battery. Small-phone shoppers, you may now cautiously put down the tiny violin.
POCO’s global poster promotes early-bird offers, but its fine print says prices vary by platform and region, with taxes affecting the total. The artwork uses a dollar symbol without naming a currency. Check your local shop for the actual model, price and tax treatment before building a budget around a global launch graphic.
A smaller body without a tiny battery
On POCO’s product page, the X8s measures 71.8mm across, weighs 187g and is 8.06mm thick. Its silicon-carbon battery supports 100W wired charging and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging for compatible devices. POCO tells buyers to check whether their local package includes an adapter. The phone may be compact; the charging footnotes still enjoy stretching their legs.

Battery capacity is an encouraging starting point, but it is not a promise about your particular day. Navigation, bright outdoor use, weak reception and games can change the result considerably. We have not tested the X8s, so the useful question for future reviews is whether its endurance stays impressive once the screen is bright and the phone is busy.
The specification sheet has a trade-off to check
The official specifications pair Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The AMOLED screen supports an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate, with behaviour depending on the app and mode. There is a 50MP main camera with optical stabilisation, a separate 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide.
Those memory and storage standards deserve a place beside the processor name when comparing phones. A large capacity tells you how much you can keep; it does not settle how quickly a whole device will feel. Camera megapixels are similarly helpful labels, rather than a substitute for seeing actual photographs. Please keep the trophy cupboard locked until the tests arrive.

The X8s offers a different sort of portability from the book-style devices in our iPhone Duo and Galaxy Z Fold8 comparison: fewer moving parts, less unfolding, a straightforward smaller screen. And as our OnePlus 15 software-rollout coverage illustrates, regional software support also belongs on the shopping list. Before importing, confirm local warranty, network compatibility and the update commitment for the exact model. A friendly-sized phone should not come with a suitcase full of avoidable surprises.
