EIZO’s FlexScan EV2401S pairs 120Hz with a seven-year warranty

EIZO has a proposal for the desk: smoother scrolling, fewer cable tangles and a relationship with a little staying power. Its October 22 announcement introduces the FlexScan EV2401S, a 23.8-inch Full HD office monitor with 120Hz refresh and a seven-year warranty. That last part is quite a commitment from something that will mostly watch us rename documents “final-final-really-final.”

Shipping is planned to begin in January 2027, with availability varying by country. EIZO has not put a retail price in the global announcement. For now, the interesting story is the combination of everyday convenience and a longer ownership pitch.

120Hz comes to the ordinary workday

The EV2401S is EIZO’s first FlexScan to support 120Hz, according to the company. Its product specification lists an IPS panel at 1920 × 1080 and support for variable refresh, including Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate. The point is smoother motion while scrolling through pages, moving the cursor and switching windows—not just an impressive number waiting patiently in a settings panel.

That could be lovely if your screen time is mostly articles, messages and documents. A spreadsheet is still a spreadsheet, naturally. Smoother scrolling will not explain why the totals disagree, but at least the trip to the suspicious cell can be more pleasant.

The useful little detail is hiding in the cable.

One USB-C connection can handle the desk routine

The USB-C port supports display input and up to 70W power delivery, alongside a USB hub for peripherals. DisplayPort and HDMI inputs are also included. With a compatible laptop, that creates the possibility of connecting the screen, charging and your usual accessories in one motion. The cable behind the desk might finally stop behaving like a bowl of very expensive noodles.

Check the laptop’s charging requirement and USB-C video support before planning the one-cable arrangement. A higher-powered machine may still need its own charger. The stand offers height, tilt, swivel and portrait adjustment, so there is some flexibility when the day changes from wide spreadsheets to a tall document.

Our ThinkVision docking-monitor report looks at another way to build a tidier desk. The appeal here is more compact: one screen that fits the space and connects without making the morning feel like an IT support appointment.

Seven years, with an hours limit

Let’s read the part a long warranty likes to whisper. EIZO limits the seven-year coverage to 30,000 hours of use. Keep that limit beside the headline when comparing it with other monitors. Warranty length is useful support information; it is not a measurement of how every panel will age.

EIZO also positions this as an energy-efficient office display, with automatic brightness adjustment and other power-saving features. We have not measured its power use or picture quality. Those are sensible things to examine when retail units reach reviewers, especially if the screen will spend years on the same desk.

The EV2401S is an unusually patient introduction in a category that loves to shout about speed. Our monitor coverage has room for the desk companions as well as the gaming show-offs. A comfortable stand, a helpful cable and decent support are allowed to be exciting. Quietly exciting, perhaps. We do have work in the morning.
