JAPANNEXT’s new 24/7 signage monitors come in 50, 65 and 98 inches

A café menu has a surprisingly demanding day job: stay readable while everybody else gets coffee breaks. JAPANNEXT’s new signage range is built around that sort of continuous display, rather than another race to make a gaming monitor faster.

The company’s October 29 Japanese releases introduce 50-, 65- and 98-inch 4K IPS monitors rated for 24-hour, year-round operation. They share a purpose, so this is one family to compare—not three separate shopping emergencies.

Three sizes, very different commitments

The tax-inclusive Japanese direct prices for the standard three-year-warranty versions are:

All three specify 3,840×2,160 resolution and 60Hz. Consider the content layout alongside the diagonal: a larger screen still needs readable type and a sensible viewing distance.

The USB port is not a tiny media player

Here is the easy assumption to avoid. Each model’s manual identifies USB-A as a firmware-update port: 50-inch, 65-inch and 98-inch. It is not a USB media player. Plan an external source, such as a PC or set-top box, instead of handing the screen a memory stick and leaving.

The connection diagrams show two HDMI inputs, DisplayPort and VGA. Those choices make the source device part of the purchasing decision, particularly when an older computer is doing the work. Match the planned output to the input before ordering.

Wall-mount brackets are included; freestanding stands are not. Budget for the installation as carefully as the screen. Glamour arrives after the tape measure.

For home reuse, another caveat matters: JAPANNEXT explicitly excludes PlayStation 5 HDR support. Anyone shopping mainly for games should compare the priorities in our gaming-monitor guide rather than treating “large 4K screen” as a complete specification.

Our monitor desk follows other display formats. This launch establishes Japanese availability and pricing; a Canadian offer has not been verified.

The useful takeaway is simple: budget for the screen, the source and the installation together. A menu that never takes a break still needs somebody to pack its lunch.
