Xiaomi Smart Band 11 reaches Japan on November 4

A small wristband can still create a surprisingly large shopping committee: the colour gets a vote, the price gets a vote, and the version with the prettiest finish arrives with an extremely persuasive little presentation. Give the calendar a seat, too.

Xiaomi Japan’s October 30 announcement sets November 4 retail availability. Tax-inclusive prices are ¥7,980 standard and ¥10,800 Ceramic Edition.

Its November 4–12 early offer lists ¥6,980 and ¥9,980 respectively. Advance purchasing on Xiaomi’s Japanese site opened October 30.

Put the offer dates beside the price

Those are Japanese launch terms. The announcement does not establish a Canadian release or price. If you are buying in Japan, check the applicable seller’s offer before treating the lower figure as the amount you will pay today.

The useful comparison is the version you actually want, from the seller you can actually use, on the date you plan to buy. An early offer with a future start date belongs on a reminder, rather than quietly becoming a permanent price in your head. The shopping committee may object to this sensible paperwork. It will cope.

Read the battery modes as two different promises

Xiaomi quotes up to 21 days in light use and 10 in normal use. These are manufacturer claims. The product page’s test notes describe the settings behind each mode; we have not measured endurance.

Start with the habits you want the band to fit. Will you wear it through the night? Which tracking and display settings matter to you? Compare those plans with the stated test conditions before reserving a heroic number of days on your calendar.

A long headline figure is most useful when its assumptions resemble your day. It should help set expectations, not turn charging earlier than the best-case claim into a personal failure. Your wrist did not sign a laboratory contract.

Check the phone and the version you will wear

The specifications require Android 8.0 or iOS 14.0 onwards with Mi Fitness. Bodies weigh 15.58g standard or 21.45g ceramic, excluding straps.

That weight distinction is worth keeping beside the price distinction. Treat each finish as its own purchase choice, and give the included strap, fit and phone support a little attention before the colour makes the entire decision.

For a different route into wearable displays, our SABERA store-trial report shows how trying a device can become part of the buying process. The Wearables & XR desk follows the wider field. Here, the useful shortlist is simple: your phone, your preferred version, the actual offer dates and the battery mode you expect to use.
