Galaxy Buds On arrive in Korea
Sometimes you want music to accompany the day without asking the day to disappear. A doorbell, a conversation or the person politely trying to hand you a coffee may deserve a hearing. Samsung’s newest earbud shape makes that sort of listening its starting point. Your latte can stop waving now.
Korean availability
Samsung’s October 26 launch notice follows its October 1 reveal. Korean sales begin October 27: black only, KRW 299,000 (South Korean won). Overseas dates are unspecified.
That timing matters for readers elsewhere: this is a Korean availability story, so treat that price as a local price. Converting it into dollars would not tell you what a future domestic purchase might cost, particularly once warranty arrangements and returns enter the conversation.
The open-ear clips use a flexible shape-memory-alloy band. Samsung’s TwinBoost speakers and Audio Leakage Reduction target acoustics, but leakage varies with volume, ear shape and surroundings, especially in quiet rooms.

Fit and compatibility
That caveat deserves space beside the pretty product photos. In a shared office or library, start quietly and ask someone nearby whether they can hear your playlist. A technology name is useful information, but your neighbour is a rather efficient test instrument. Please do not make them listen to the entire album first.
Comfort is the other personal question. A clip rests against a different part of the ear from a sealing tip; the sensible purchase test is whether it remains comfortable on your ears, with your glasses, while you move as you normally would. A few minutes of standing still may leave the most useful questions unanswered.
Voice activation, head gestures and Quick Voice Memo need a Galaxy AI-compatible phone or tablet. Memo also requires Samsung Voice Recorder, Bixby and configured long-press controls.
Before falling for a shortcut, check that the companion device you own supports the feature you want. The most delightful button in an advertisement is considerably less delightful if it needs a different phone. Decide which jobs are essential, then check those individually rather than buying the whole promise as one cheerful bundle.

Our open-ear buying guide is a useful place to think through listening environments. For another approach to phone-dependent audio features, our OPPO Enco X4 coverage explains why the companion hardware belongs on the shopping checklist too.
There is plenty to like about having another form factor to consider. The next step is wonderfully ordinary: try the fit, keep expectations specific and choose for the places where you will actually listen.
