Moto Watch Fit 27 adds Polar insights, with a 12-day battery caveat

A fitness watch can be very keen on telling you to build a routine, then interrupt that routine by needing its charger. Motorola’s new Watch Fit has a tempting answer to that particular little betrayal: a claim of up to 12 days between charges.

Announced November 5 as the Moto Watch 2 Fit / Moto Watch Fit 27, it starts at €119. Motorola says selected markets across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific will follow in the coming weeks. That is a rollout plan, not confirmation of Canadian stock or pricing.

Start with the battery footnote

The 12-day figure comes from Motorola’s light-use testing under optimal conditions. Settings and usage affect the result. We have not tested the watch, and this announcement does not establish that you will get 12 days with your preferred tracking and display habits.

Before buying, sketch out an ordinary week: which sessions you track, when you want the screen visible and when charging would be convenient. You do not need a spreadsheet with a training plan for the charger. Just find the gap where plugging it in would be easy, rather than discovering that gap halfway through an outing.

Polar’s insights need a job in your routine

The watch adds Powered by Polar features including Running Index, Nightly Recharge and Sleep Plus Stages. Motorola also lists dual-frequency GPS and menstrual-cycle tracking. The display is a 1.85-inch gOLED panel; the announced colours are Stratified Sea, Pigeon and Ballerina.

Here’s the more useful comparison. Decide which information would change what you do next. A running trend might help you ask a better question about your training. An attractive dashboard that you never revisit is mostly a very diligent wrist decoration.

Read the explanations for each score before relying on it, and check whether the app presents the history you actually want to see. More categories of data do not automatically make the experience clearer. A friendly watch should help you understand a pattern, not assign you a mysterious daily report card.

Keep future assistant features in the future column

Motorola says Qira access from the wrist is due in the coming months and requires a compatible Motorola phone, account and connection. It is a separate consideration from the watch’s announced tracking features, not a reason to assume every assistant function is ready today.
