Samsung TV Plus adds weekly Korean movie nights
Samsung TV Plus begins K-Wave Wednesdays on October 28, with ten Korean films scheduled through year-end on Movie Hub. The October 27 announcement also promises December microdramas, on-demand in the U.S. and through a dedicated channel in Korea.
The sofa has apparently acquired a programming department. A recurring movie night is a pleasingly simple idea: choose the film, make the snack, and avoid spending the first half-hour asking each other what to watch. A weekly slot can make discovery feel like a plan instead of homework.
A date for the film, not another subscription
The opening film is Exhuma; Salmokji: Whispering Water follows November 4. Samsung describes TV Plus as subscription-free and ad-supported. The wider expansion concerns the U.S. and Korea; it does not establish the same catalogue in Canada.
That distinction deserves a small, very polite interruption. An app being available where you live does not mean every regional programming announcement travels with it. Check the local listing before inviting anyone over. A disappointed bowl of popcorn is still dinner-adjacent, but it is not a film licence.

Find the listing on your actual screen
Samsung’s support page names 2016-and-newer Samsung Smart TVs and projectors in select areas. Its current notice requires a Samsung account and internet connection. Open TV Plus from the app bar; the Guide shows current and upcoming programmes. Samsung cautions that channels can change without notice.
Once you find the film, check its local time rather than treating a date as a universal start time. The useful question is whether the session fits your evening: a full movie, a short break, or something to return to later. Those are different viewing jobs, even when they share a remote.
Shorter stories need their own expectations
The appeal of bite-sized viewing is easy to understand. Sometimes you want a complete film; sometimes your attention has already put on its slippers. The important part is keeping a weekly linear listing separate from an on-demand option, rather than expecting both to behave like the same library.

The useful takeaway: check the local Guide on your own television, confirm the region, then make a small occasion of the film you actually want. More choice is lovely. A choice made before the snacks go cold is lovelier.
