iFLYTEK translation earbuds open a Japanese Makuake campaign
Translation earbuds make a rather lovely promise: keep looking at the person, instead of disappearing into a phone every time a sentence gets interesting. The useful buying question is less glamorous, naturally. Which conversations can the system handle, and what must be connected before it can help? The small print has invited itself to the conversation.
Check the language pair
iFLYTEK Japan launched its AI Translation Earbuds campaign on October 27, running through November 29. Japanese delivery is planned by December’s end.
The campaign lists a JPY48,100 tax-inclusive reward; the JPY44,700 tier is closed. Makuake adds a 2.2% platform fee, plus tax.
Translation uses the Bavvo app and a Bluetooth 5.0-or-later phone, with Android 10/iOS 15.5 minimums. iFLYTEK says no subscription or additional feature charge is required.
Sixty languages work online, including calls and online meetings. Offline translation is limited to face-to-face Japanese/English or Japanese/Chinese; other translation modes require internet.

Start with the conversation you actually expect to have. A quiet exchange across a table, a phone call and a meeting with several speakers are different situations. Ask for a demonstration of the one that matters to you, using your own phone and language pair. A reassuring answer should involve the workflow, rather than a very long list of flags.
For travel, practise the ordinary requests before departure: a destination, a dietary preference or a question about opening hours. Check how you start and stop a translation, how the other person hears it and how you correct a misunderstood name. You want a helpful habit, not a small performance with an audience waiting for you.
Leave room for clarification
Keep the exchange patient. Give each person space to finish, confirm important details in plain words and be willing to repeat something more simply. Nobody enjoys being treated as an obstacle between a gadget and its demonstration. The most useful feature in the room may still be a friendly pause.
iFLYTEK rates earbud translation runtime at up to six hours per charge; results vary.

Fit matters too. Our open-ear versus ANC guide explains why the listening format deserves attention alongside the clever features. Try the physical comfort and controls before deciding that a useful service automatically makes the right earbud for you.
Read the campaign’s delivery, cancellation and support terms before paying. Our Kinoko-no-Yama Pro campaign coverage illustrates another reason to examine how a purchase is structured, though each campaign has its own conditions. The target is a device that makes a real conversation easier. Let that conversation, and the people having it, remain the centre of the purchase.
