iQOO Neo12 launches in China with a 9000mAh battery
The iQOO Neo12 has arrived in China with the energy of somebody who brought a full gaming setup to a casual evening. It has an active cooling fan, a very large battery and a display headline that is clearly not here to be subtle. All right, little rectangle. We see the ambition.
A China launch, with a price distinction
iQOO’s official October 28 posts, reproduced by Sina, confirm the launch and immediate sale. The manufacturer specification page lists CNY 4,399 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Lower advertised checkout figures include platform promotions and eligible Chinese subsidies; they are not the standard list price.
Now look beyond the large numbers. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Q3 power the phone. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED screen reaches 185Hz; the product page limits enhanced modes to supported games, with some requiring updates.

A fan does not make every game effortless
Cooling is an interesting design choice because demanding games ask a phone to keep working after the exciting first minute. What buyers need to know is how performance holds up, how the handset feels in the hand and what the fan sounds like. Those questions require testing; DeviceCritique has not tested this phone.
The useful move is to check the games you actually play against the manufacturer’s support information. A spectacular headline refresh rate is not a blanket promise for every app in your library. Your quietly beloved farming game is allowed to remain a quietly beloved farming game. It does not owe anyone a benchmark costume change.
There is a physical side to the specification too. The battery has a typical 9000mAh capacity, with charging up to 100W. Think about how a gaming-first phone fits the rest of your day, not only the moment you launch a game.

Compare the whole phone, not just the gaming party trick
That makes hand comfort a sensible part of the shortlist. Think about the grip you use for a long session, where charging happens and whether you are happy carrying a gaming-first device throughout the rest of the day. None of that is less serious than a frame-rate graph. It is simply the part that has to live in your pocket.
This coverage concerns the Chinese model and its domestic offering. It does not establish a Canadian release, local warranty or Canadian price. Before importing, verify the exact regional software, network and service arrangements rather than treating the launch as a local purchase recommendation.
For comparison, our report on Infinix’s India gaming bundle explores a different gaming pitch. The smartphone desk follows the broader choices. Neo12 has an unusually busy introduction; a purchase decision should still begin with your own routine.
